Dreaming of ice can be the result of a physical sensation the dreamer is feeling when he's asleep (e.g., your child kicks off the blankets in his sleep and therefore feels a chill, which in his mind manifests into a winter wonderland scene in a dream), but on a deeper level, dreaming of ice is could very well be indicative of an emotional coldness in the child or adolescent's life. Perhaps the child feels he isn't getting the love he needs or expects from mom or dad or another important figure in his life? Or maybe a teenage boy thinks that his girlfriend isn't giving him the affection he desires? The exact cause for the chilly dream imagery will be different and personal for each child and teenager, but in general, the dream mirrors a glacial indifference the dreamer is experiencing from a relationship in life. In some cases, the dreamer's own emotions may seem frozen. On the flip side, you might have a kid who loves to ice skate and play hockey, and for that child, a frozen dreamscape carries positive associations.
