The Dream

dreaming about moving into larger more luxourious houses. that often have swimming pools and orchards and traveling by train.

Your Child's Dream Symbols

Pool

In dreams, water represents the deeper part of ourselves, i.e., the subconscious. It can be associated with the unknown, relating to the depths of our subconscious and concealed emotions. However, because water is contained within a small area in a pool, the feelings the pool symbolizes might not be as overwhelming in comparison to what the ocean may symbolize in a dream. In addition, a preschooler who is being toilet trained and dreams of floating in a pool may wake up to find that she's wet her bed. On the upside, water also has many positive associations, such as swimming and spending time with family. So if a child dreams of playing happily in a pool she's probably feeling good about herself and what's happening in her life.

Train

Traveling to a new destination via a plane or train represents adventure, but more of the common sort, such as taking a trip to a new destination or visiting a favorite relative or friend. Trains appear more in boys' dreams.

House (Familiar)

When adults and children dream about damage to their home or an intrusion into their home, it can mirror some type of personal injury, discomfort, or loss of security--physical or emotional--that they're experiencing. For example, if a child has a fever, she may dream that his home is on fire. But if the child is angry about something, or if an adolescent is dealing with sensual feelings, she can also dream that her home is on fire. There can also be areas of the home that kids are fearful of, such as cellars, attics, and closets. These areas are often dark and cluttered. They can represent the fear of the unknown, as well as feelings of confusion and conflict. On the flip side, a child can dream that she finds wonderful objects in the attic or that new areas of the home magically appear. This imagery can symbolize the child is learning more about herself and her talents.
